You're turning into that lady on the Progressive Insurance commercials (that's a compliment, btw).

Lista said...

Hi No Prisoners, Hart,
Welcome. I'm not sure if I Know the Commercial. I'll have to Watch for it. I'm Still Working on the Blow a Kiss Symbol. How about this?

<{x}> /oooox

Oh, Oh, Here's the Tears! I Did that Wrong.

:(````

For Even more Drama, let's Add a Violin.

:!:

No!? Oh Well. I Tried. That's a Different Subject Any Way.

Back to the Kiss; Does that Look about Right, or can you Think of a Better Way to do it? lol.

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

You da' bomb, girl.

Lista said...

Oh Good, you're Back. I was a Little Concerned about my Violin and Wanted to Come Back and Explain that Any Time that I See Tears that are Genuine and Reflect Real Pain, I do not Play the Violin. I Care when People Hurt and that is why the Violin above is not Currently being Played.

Not a dry eye in the house at some of those other sites.......Hey, check out some of those Progressive commercials over at you-tube (I'm assuming that they're there). Extremely funny, I'm thinking.

Lista said...

Oh Really? I Remind you of that Gal, Flow? I Wonder Why.

"There's no Discount for Agreeing with me."

Small Chuckle. Well, Actually in Friendship, there is a Discount for Agreeing with me cause People have a Tendency to Respect the Opinions more of People who Think at Least a Little like themselves. If you disagree with Absolutely Everything that I say, I'll Start Treating you like I do that Mutual Friend of Ours, but then again, I Guess that has more to do with Friendship than with Insurance.

Am I "Getting Carried Away" and Changing the Subject? Oh well.

"That Happens to me all the Time" :)

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

That's the one!! My favorite was when she asked the guy, "So, would you like one really big bag....or two still pretty big bags?"....Which friend are you referring to? As a moderate, I didn't think that I had any friends. LOL

Lista said...

Don't make me Say his Name, No Prisoners, Hart. On my Blog, I've been Trying to be more Low Key about who it is that Stresses me. We met on his Blog. I Complemented you for a Comment about Shoveling (Peep), I mean Being Willing to do Most anything for someone who you Like or Love. lol.

Yeh, I know what you mean about Moderates not having so many Friends. I guess that is why we Need to Stick Together huh?

As to Flow, the Other Phrases I Remember from her are "Hey! An Office Party!!" or "We're the Only Ones that do." or "Power to the People" or in Relation to her Dog, "Yeh, I Taught him that myself". She's Quite Quotable. Isn't she?

I Never did do a Dog did I?

I would also scoop up dog poop for Greta Garbo, Hedy Lamarr, Vivien Leigh, Ann Miller (her pre-helmet-hair era), Gene Tierney, and Cyd Charisse.......And I like the snowman best!

Lista said...

Why Thank You, No Prisoners,
Would you Scoop it Up for someone who you Actually Know, who is not an Actress? That's were the Rubber Meets the Road you Know.

Beauty is Only Skin Deep and the Passion that is Produced by Skin Deep Beauty is a Shallow Passion that will not Last.

Ok. Now I'm Talking to you like I do with the Other Person that I Mentioned and what I just said would be Ideal for his most Recent Post, yet with you, it's not Personal because I don't Know you. He, however, Angers me because of Things I Know about him.

Lista said...

Hey Angel (Women Honor Thyself),

You get a lot of Comments on your Blog. If you ever do Need a Friend, though, you could Leave me your Email Address and I Promise not to Post it.

You Know, when I Put the Dash in my Happy Face the Way you Do, it Looks like a Very Long Nose, at Least in the Comment Window, yet it doesn't Look so Bad when it is Published. :-)

Attraction and chemistry are based upon a lot of things, Lista. Me, personally, I'm a complete/total sucker for sweetness (though, yes, I'll admit it, I do prefer the skinnier chicks better LOL).

Lista said...

You Know, No Prisoners, I Think that the Problem I have with Some People in Relation to Male Female Relationships may have Something to do with the Different Ideas that were Held by Certain Generations and Eras. Griper, for Example, is Obviously from the Era in which the Man was Most Definitely Considered the Head of the House and from What I can Tell from the Actresses that you Mentioned, you are from that Same Era.

Pretty Soon I'm Going to be Posting a Comment Under his Maureen O'Hara Post about my Opinion of John Wayne as a Role Model as to How to Treat Women, so Stay Tuned.

I have a real love for classic cinema, Lista. I wasn't actually around when Garbo, Stanwyck, Leigh, etc. were at their prime. Yeah, I'm old, BUT I'M NOT THAT OLD!! LOL And, believe me, I am very liberated.......P.S. Olivia de Havilland - I like her, too!

Lista said...

Hi Will,
That's what they Call you on your Blog. You may not have Seen the Prime of the People you Mentioned, but I'm not Even sure who they are and I don't Exactly Consider myself Young. I Look Younger than I am and I'm not a Senior Yet, but... Oh, I guess this is all Relative.

I should Look some of the Names you Mentioned Up. I Bet you I would Recognize their Faces if I saw them.

As to the Question that you Asked that I didn't Publish. No, I'm not on Face Book. Perhaps I should be, but I'm on the Computer too much as it is.

Lista said...

Well, I Guess I've Seen Both Vivien Leigh and Olivia de Havilland in Gone with the Wind and Babara Stanwyck in Big Valley, yet it has been so Long Since I've seen either of these that my Memory isn't clear. Apparently, Babara Stanwyck was also in the Thorn Birds, which I have seen Several Times, but I don't Remember the Character she Played, for it wasn't the Main Character, Maggie.

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

Vivien Leigh was heartbreaking in "Waterloo Bridge". Ditto, Olivia de Havilland in "The Heiress" (with Montgomery Clift - you'd really like him, very handsome)......Yeah, Barbara Stanwyck was in "The Thorn Birds". But she was into her 70s by then. You really need to check her out in some of those 40s flicks, "The Lady Eve", "Double Indemnity", etc.. She was so frigging talented and beautiful back then.......It sounds like we might be of similar vintage, btw.

Lista said...

How did you get into Old Flicks that are before your Time, Will? Even my Husband isn't as Familiar with these Women as he Probably should be and he is 13 Years Older than I am. He's Heard all of the Names, but can't Name them by their Pictures.

Here's a Scene from the Thorn Birds that includes Barbara Stanwyck and yes, she is indeed the Actress that Played in Big Valley. She's a Very Strong Lady.

And here is Vivien Leigh and Olivia de Havilland in Gone with the Wind. At Least I Think that's Olivia de Havilland.

Why don't you Look Up some of your Favorite Scenes on You Tube and Send me Links to them?

Lista said...

Olivia de Havilland is very Cute. She has a Sparkle about her when she Smiles and Barbara Stanwyck's Appearance and Performance is Very Striking. I love her Performance in the Thorn Birds. That Scene is Really Superb. In my Opinion, though Vivien Leigh did an Excellent Performance in Gone with the Wind, she does not Stand Out Quite as Much as these other Two.

I Recognize some of the Men in these Flicks. Fred MacMurray, in "Double Indemnity", was also the Absent Minded Professor, as well as the Father in My Three Sons and the Younger Days of Henry Fonda, such as in "Lady Eve", he Reminds me of Dick York in the TV Series Bewitched. I'm not sure Why. I guess they Both have Sort of a Pointed Chin. In Fonda's Later Western Films, though, he doesn't look so much Like York any more.

Yes, Montgomery Clift is Handsome. There are some Pictures of him that Remind me a Little of Arnold Schwarzenegger, like in his Last Picture Down on his Page in the Wikipedia. In the Top Picture, he is Quite Attractive.

I Think the Actor I Like Most, though, is Richard Gere. He's a Very Attractive Man and I Actually saw him Once on an Airplane. He Walked Right Down the Isle Past us.

BB-Idaho said...

One of my old favorites is
James Cagney as George M. Cohan in Yankee Doodle Dandy (1942).
Another more recent actor
of wide range is Richard Dreyfuss in for example,
'Mr. Holland's Opus'-1995,
'What About Bob?' 1991 and
'Krippendorf's Tribe' 1998

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

That first scene between Stanwyck and MacMurray in "Double Indemnity", the one in which she walks out of the room wearing only a towel and an ankle bracelet - you knew for a fact that things weren't going to go too well for Mr. MacMurray, didn't you? LOL............Here's a good scene for you, Lista. Go to youtube and type in Montgomery Clift and bugle. You'll get a great scene of him in "From Here to Eternity" playing taps. No words but a lot of emotion.

Lista said...

Hi BB,
I was Wondering where you Ran Off to.

I Guess I sort of Recognize James Cagney, yet at Least one of the Pictures in his Wikipedia Page Reminds me of Red Skelton. It's the One from the Movie "White Heat". Hmmmm. I don't know if I Know him or not, but he Looks Like a Real Interesting Comedian Type.

Interestingly, when I Heard your Mention of the Movie "What about Bob?", I Right Away thought of the Other Guy who Actually Played Bob. I Guess his Name is Bill Murray; Another Really Funny Guy. I Remember him in "Ground Hog Day" and I Think he also Played Scrooge in One of the Many Versions of "The Christmas Carol".

Richard Dreyfuss is Good too, though.

Lista said...

Yeh Will,
That was Moving. The Montgomery Clift Tribute has some Nice Pictures of him. Yeh Ok. You're Right. He's Cute.

BTW, if you Want to Know how I am Creating these Links, Click on the "HTML Tag - Code Generator" Link to the Right, Under Blogging Tips.

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

Thanks for the tip, friend. I am sooooooooooooo computer illiterate.........Clift was also in "The Heiress", btw. He and Miss Olivia burn up the screen in quite possibly my favorite motion picture ever!! You might be able to get it for a song on the Amazon marketplace. Extremely well worth it.

Lista said...

The Last Scene in "the Heiress" is Really Something. You were Right when you said that she was Heart Breaking; Cold-Hearted and Cruel Even, though I guess he Probably did something to her in Order to Deserve it.

I've been sort of Watching the Movie on the Internet One Scene at Time and have Watched the First Three Scenes. I Wonder if they have the Entire Movie on YouTube in about 10 Minute Intervals. 10 Minutes Times 11 would be 110 Minutes, or 1 Hour and 50 Minutes. That's about Right. Perhaps I can Watch the Movie without even Renting it.

BB-Idaho said...

Kind of odd, I seldom watch a film all the way through, but I have a few favorites. There are some
actors I don't care for:
Sylvester Stallone, Tom Cruise, Julia Roberts, Nicholas Cage, Uma Thurman...don't know why.
Also peculiar, I really like humour, slapstick and silly movies, but for serious, I read a book.
...kind of odd, huh?

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

Another gut-wrenching film, Lista, is "Requiem for a Heavyweight". It didn't get a lot of notoriety when it first came out (1962) - maybe because a different version (with a different cast) had already appeared on television's "Playhouse 90". But it is totally awesome, and it has an awesome cast; Anthony Quinn, Jackie Gleason, Mickey Rooney, and Julie Harris. There's this one scene, in particular, between Jackie Gleason and Julie Harris (the stairwell scene, I call it). He confronts her by saying, "You can't put fancy clothes on an ape and make him your dancing partner." She responds by slapping him in the face and immediately apologizing, sobbing meekly. He finally ends the scene by saying to her, "You want to help him, lady. Leave him alone. Don't be putting those dreams in his head." Man, I'm getting all choked up now just thinking about it. LOL

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

P.S. I hope that the last post on my blog doesn't offend you. This guy has been lying about me and my record for years and I finally had to release on him.......It's good to do that once in a while, I think. LOL

Lista said...

There is so Much that I Want to Say about the Movies, yet I'm Tired Now, so I Think I'll Work more on this Tomorrow. More Later Guys.

Lista said...

As to your Last Comment, Will, I don't have the Energy to Keep Up with People who Blog Daily. Forgive me as I admit that I have Only Read a Few of your Posts. You might have Made me Interested by your Comment, though. I may Eventually Write you a Personal Email, yet I'm a Little Slow at Doing that because of Things that Have Happened to me Previously through Private Email with Fellow Bloggers.

I Guess it is because I'm always Tempted to Open Up and Make myself more Venerable than I should. I got Hurt and Now I'm just a Little Paranoid, but you Seem Safe Enough. Just Give me some Time.

Lista said...

Ah BB,
You Don't Like Julia Roberts or Nicholas Cage? I didn't Care for Sylvester Stallone in "Rambo". I didn't Watch that Series because I don't Care for Boxing, yet One of my Favorite Movies is "The Demolition Man", Staring Sylvester Stallone and Sandra Bullock. Tom Cruise is Ok, but not at the Top of my List. I'm Going to Get back to you, but First I Respond a Little to want No Prisoners has to say.

Hi Will,
Didn't Anthony Quin Play Mostly in Westerns? Jackie Gleason was the Cop in "Smokie and the Bandit". Ok. That Puts his Face in my Mind.

Mickey Rooney was in "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" with a couple of Other Really Funny Characters, who, just Like Rooney, I Know Very Well by Face, but not by Name and Unfortunately, the Others that you Mentioned are the Same Way, but if you Show a Younger Version of these Actors to me, I do not Know them at all, so Perhaps you could Stop Talking to me as if I can Relate to what you are Saying off the Top of my Head without Research.

Oddly, I'm Sort of Getting Tired of the Old Movie Discussion. Even though you are Speaking of the 60s now, You are Still Mentioning Names that I have Heard, but I had to Look them up in Order to Remind myself who they are. My Era was the 70s. BB is Actually More on Track in Mentioning Names that I Recognize.

I'm Still Processing the Movie the "The Heiress", though; Quite a Movie. I Watched the Entire Thing on YouTube. That is the One I would Like to Eventually Talk to you more about when I Find Time.

It would be Fun to Watch a Bunch of Really Old Movies with someone, but I Doubt if I'm going to have such an Opportunity. When my Husband and I Watch Movies Together, it is Usually Adventures or Science Fiction. That's what he Likes. Once in Awhile, I Request a Comedy or Drama, but for a Romance to Interest him, it has to have some Comedy and/or Adventure in it. Romance by itself doesn't Interest him.

Lista said...

Back to BB,
I Like Julia Roberts and Richard Gere together. They did the Movies "Pretty Women", "Run Away Bride" and Others. Julia Roberts also did a Really good Job in "Erin Brockovich". It's a True Story about a Chemical Pollution Case again PG&E which Erin Brockovich (Played by Julia Roberts) helps to Build. I guess we're Talking about Movies that are more Recent now (Demolition Man, 1993, & Erin Brockovich, 2000).

Do you Like Sandra Bullock? I Guess she did a Couple of Others with Sylvester Stallone, such as "Speed" , but I also Remember her in "Miss Congeniality", "The Net", "Something to Talk About", "Hope Floats" and Others.

I Liked Demi Moore & Whoopie Goldberg in the Movie "Ghost". Demi Moore also Stared in "The Butchers Wife" & "The Seventh Sign". Whoopie Goldberg Stars in "Jumping Jack Flash", "Sister Act I & II" and Many Others.

I Haven't Even Started on the Men Yet. Let's See, Richard Gere, Nicolas Cage, Michael Douglas, Tom Hanks, Robin Williams, Etc., Etc. That's just who First came to Mind.

Oh you Know Who Else is Cute? Hugh Grant. He Stared with Julia Roberts in "Notting Hill", another Film from the 90s, 1999.

There are Things I Want to say about some of the More Recent Actors, yet I'm beginning to Feel Tired, so Perhaps I'll Quit Now.
