Aaaaaaaa! I'm so Busy/Christmas Procrastination

I don't Get it, you Guys.  My Hit Count has Not Dropped to the Extent that I would Expect Over the Holidays and so many of you are Still Posting Somewhat Regularly.  I don't Know How you Guys do it.  I Feel Guilty when I Realize that a lot of you are Still Visiting my Blog, Even though I haven't given you much more to Read.  Isn't anyone Else Busy?

I Procrastinate Every Year and Suffer the Consequences and yet I Never Learn.  Next Year, I am Highly Likely to do it again, because it's just the way I am.  Oh well.

I don't have Time to Talk Much on the Blogs.  I just don't.  Whatever.  If you are Still Visiting my Blog, here's a Little Something to Read.  I May or may not Respond Much to the Comments, but I'll Tell you What.  I'll Post them and you guys can just Talk to Each Other.

Christmas Stresses & Joys

BB-Idaho Just Wrote a Comment on the Next Post Down about Christmas Trees and Tinsel and for some Reason this Comment Reminded me that it is time to Post Again and I Guess I'm Still Focused on Christmas.  The Part of BB's Comment that I want to Respond to in this Post is...

"Christmas is a time of year when people cheer up and mellow out.  Something we should probably do much more often."

As Odd as it may Seem to some of you, I'm not Really as much of a Christmas Fan as some.  I Really Struggle with a Little Bit of a Buh Humbug Attitude throughout a lot of the Holiday.  To me, Christmas is more a Time of Expectation, than of Genuine Cheer, for those who do Genuinely Enjoy the Holiday Expect that same Mood from those who are Less Cheery.

To Me, Christmas is a Time of Extreme Business in which Everything that has nothing to do with Christmas Needs to be Put on Hold while we Send Out Cards, Decorate our Houses, Go Shopping, Wrap Gifts, Bake, Clean House and Prepare for the Coming of Company.  I've Tired so Hard to Get Past my Horrible Attitude about the Holidays and yet Every Single Year I go into that Same Trance, in which I just sort of Hold my Breath Until it's Over With.

So if I was to Respond to the Idea of "Cheering Up" and "Mellowing Out", my Response would be I Feel the Way I am Expected to and Do that which I am Expected to do and I "Mellow Out" because I'm too Busy to do Otherwise.

That was Probably more Negative than what you were Expecting, huh?

Well, I'll Tell you what I do Enjoy and that is the Christmas Programs and the Joy of the Day itself when it Finally Gets Here.  Here is something that really Moved me this Year, even though it is just a Video and I did not Actually Experience it in Person.  Apparently a Group of Unsuspecting Shoppers Got a Really Pleasant Surprise one Day in the Food Court at a Shopping Mall.  These are the Type of Experiences that Actually Bring Tears to the Eyes.

The Perfect Christmas Gift, Down Romans Road.

You Know, it is the Strangest Thing.  I had all these Thoughts of Posts that I was going to do and yet as I Sit here and the Christmas Music Plays in the Background, I Realize that Politics and Christmas are Two Entirely Different Moods and I just Can't Keep Throwing Christmas Off and Focusing on the Political.  It Just Doesn't Feel Right to do so.

Even the Links that I was Going to give you Relating to Extremism just don't Feel Right to me Right Now.  You can Find these Links on Dave's Blog at The War on Extremism.  One is in the Post itself and the Other is in the Comment Section; a Link Left by BB-Idaho.  At Least one of the Themes Mentioned is how Extremism can Even be Present in the Churches and this Prevents us from Really Hearing and Responding Lovingly Towards those who have Differing Opinions than Our Own.  I was Going to Comment even Further on these Two Links, yet the Mood of it is Confrontational and though I do not Believe that Confrontations are Wrong, Christmas is more a Time of Unity, rather than Confrontation, so I Find Myself Putting all Sorts of Things Off During the Holidays.

Perhaps the Entire Christmas Season is a Time For Celebration and Peace.  Perhaps it is a Good Time for Peace and not Conflict, Truce and not Argument.  And as to the Church, Perhaps it is a time to Focus in on what we Agree on, rather than what Brings Conflict Between us.

The Pastor Gave a Rather Interesting Message Today.  He was Suggesting that we Find 7 People that we Know to not be Christians and Write the Following Words in the Card.

"This Year I would Like you to Walk with me down the Romans Road to Receive the Perfect Gift of the Season."

"Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, Romans 10:9-10, Revelation 3:20, John 3:16"

That's it.  That's the Entire Message.  He Suggested not Even Quoting the Verses, but just Allowing those who Receive the Cards to Go Get a Bible and Look these Verses Up and so that is all I'm Going to do here as well.  I guess if Questions Come Up, I Will Answer them in the Comment Section and may Even Type Out the Quotes Eventually.  I'll just See how the Lord Leads.

All I Want to say for Now, though, about these Verses is that they not Only Describe the Perfect Gift of the Season, but also the Central Theme of Christianity and that which We Agree on.  So my Message for Today is Let's Focus on what we Agree on and if any of you Feel so Inspired, you Might Even Consider doing that which My Pastor has Suggested.

Perhaps I should Add that There is One Other Message that the Pastor Gave that was Interesting.  He Does a Short Spontaneous Sermon for the Kids in Response to an Object that they give him.  The Object today was a Frog and here is what he Said about it.

Apparently, when you Shine a Light on Frogs then Freeze and do not Jump, yet when the Light is Turned Off or Removed, the Frogs will Jump Right  Up into your Face.  This is a Good Illustration of how it is with God.  If we Keep Our Eyes Focused on the Lord (The Light), we will be more Calm and will not Offend, yet when we Get Our Eyes Off of the Him, that is when we Jump Up into People's Faces and this does not Accomplish much Other then Offense.

So Let's Try to Focus on Love and Peace this Season and may you all have a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Happy Late Thanksgiving & Merry Christmas

I Guess it's Time to do Another Post.

First for Thanksgiving;
I Must say that as I was Reading all the Thanksgiving Posts, I was Feeling Convicted and Realized that I Need to be More Grateful.  Perhaps I'll use what I Wrote on Dave Miller's Blog as an Initial Inspiration to Get me Going.

I Started Out By Complaining that we are going to be a little Tight this Year, yet as I was Thinking of Dave and his Ministry in Mexico, I Remembered that there are Lots of Other Countries that are Way worse Off than we are here in America, even when the Times are Rough, so we do Need to be Grateful.

Thanksgiving has Actually had an Interesting Affect on me this Year.  I am Grateful.  I'm Grateful for my Health for One Thing and for my Friends.

I was Actually Thinking about it this Year in that it is sort of Neat that Thanksgiving is what Starts the Christmas Season because I was Thinking that we Need to have an Attitude of Gratitude as we go about our Holiday Activities and Remember all that we have, as well as when we Remember the True Meaning of the Holiday and all that God did for Us, by Sending His Son to Die on the Cross for Our Sins.

Not Only that, but also one of the Greatest Gifts that we can Give to Our Loved Ones is our Gratitude, for we so Often Take Each Other for Granted and Forget to say Things such as Thank You and I Love you, so to all of you who have been Following my Blog, I do Appreciate you all and I Love you all in the Lord.

And Now for Christmas;
Beth Wrote an Interesting Comment below Dave's Linked Post.  She Wrote about being Thankful Everyday for our Blessing and Giving Back to Those in Need all Year, not just during the Holidays.

I've thought about this Before to and I Think that it is Totally Nuts that we Try to Do all our Giving During a Single Month during the Year.  Think about it.  We do all our Baking, all our Greeting, in the Form of Cards, Buy all our Gifts, all our Donations to Charities, Etc., Etc., Etc.  Wouldn't it Make more Sense to Do Some of this at another Time of Year.  I've Considered Sending Out Easter Cards, Instead of Christmas Cards, Honoring Birthdays more and Sharing Cookies with the Neighbors During another Holiday besides Christmas.  Traditions are Hard to Break, though.  It's just Something that I've been Thinking about.

Anyway, I Hope that you all had a Very Happy Thanksgiving and I Wish you all a Very Merry Christmas.

There's another Holiday too that is Often Forgotten about and I Think I'll Let my Friend Angel do the Honors in Relation to that.  Happy Chanakkah

Old Feelings from a Year Ago

Should I be Posting something Lighter?  Sometimes Doing so is Hard.  I Never do Know what my Commenters Actually Want to Talk about.  For all I Know, there may be some who Come by and when they do, they say.  "Oh no!  Not that Subject!!"  And then they go away and don't ever Come Back.  I have a Tendency to Talk about some of the Most Difficult of the Subjects, such as Intelligent Design vs. Evolution and Abortion.  I must be a Total Fool to be so Stuck on the Subjects that Cause so much Conflict and Emotion.

The Other Subject that Comes Up from Time to Time is Relationships.

Here's One.  God Forgives those who come to Him Asking for Forgiveness, yet so Often we are Expected by those in the Church to Forgive even when no Apology is Given.  Is this a Reasonable Thing to Expect of Ourselves?  Should People get off Scotch Free Like That?  Are our Expectations too High?  Is our Anger Unreasonable because it is Based on an Expectation, or have we been Genuinely Mistreated?  Is it Really so Wrong to Expect to be Treated with basic Decency by those who we Trust?

And here's Another One.  Should we all just Take Responsibility for Our Own Emotions, Including Anger or are there Times in which Anger is Justified and to not Feel that way would be Allowing someone to Take Advantage when they should actually be Confronted?  Is Anger Always Wrong?

Also, what if we are Mourning the Lose of Someone and are therefore more Touchy than Usual?  Should we Still be Required to Take Responsibility for Our Own Feelings?  In such a Situation, is it Really so Unreasonable to Hope for someone to Comfort, rather than Judging us for the Way we Feel, or to Hope for someone to Take us more Seriously, rather than just Stating that what ever Emotions we are Feeling are Our Own Responsibility?  Is it just me, or is that Actually a Rather Unkind Thing to say to someone who is Mourning the Loss of Someone?

It Surprises me a Little that this Last Paragraph came out of me just now.  I guess it's because my Girl Friend Died just before Thanksgiving about a Year Ago and someone was Treating me Exactly as I just Described and Unfortunately, the Anger Never Fully Went Away.

One Last Question.  When it Comes to what ever may have been Wrong with my Own Behavior at the Time, should one's Entire Character be Judged Based on their Behavior During a Time in which they are Mourning the Lose of Someone?  Is it Really so much to Ask for a Little Extra Rope During such Times?  Yet at the Same Time, is it Really Realistic to Assume that Everything is all my Fault?  Is it Even Possible that that is this Person's True Opinion of me?  Is it My Fault that my Girl Friend Died and/or that I Feel Sad and even Angry as the Result?  Should I Take Responsibility for that as well?

Even though a Considerable Amount of Time has Gone by, My Opinion has not Changed about the Way I was Treated.  I Don't Know what to say about this anymore, except that Unfortunately, when a Loved One Dies, Sometimes, we End Up Losing more than just the One who Died.

Intelligent Design Theory & the Scientific Method

Well, the Comment Threat of the Previous Post has Become Quite Long Enough, so I Figure it is Time to Start a New Post.  I Thought that this Post was going to be in Response to one of the Links that BB-Idaho Left in the Previous Comment Threat, but it Looks Like it is Going to be about a Link of my Own Instead.

In the Last of my Comments, as of the Time of this New Post, I Left Two Links that Explain why Intelligent Design Research is Indeed a Science and here are the Links again.

Does Intelligent Design Theory Implement the Scientific Method?
Intelligent Design Based upon the Scientific Method, Not Blind Faith.

The First of these Links is Very Short; Just a One Paragraph Answer to the Given Question.

As I was Reading through the Second of the Above Links, I Realized that the IDEA Center (That is Intelligent Design and Evolution Awareness Center) is not Actually Pushing for the Requiring of Intelligent Design being Taught as an "Alternative" at the Present Time, but only that the Students should be Exposed in an Honest Manner to the Scientific Problems with Darwinian Evolution.

The Reason for this is not because Intelligent Design Theory can not be Supported Scientifically, but because "the Political Climate is too hostile at this time."

The IDEA Center does, however, Encourage "extracurricular IDEA Clubs, where they can have free discussions on intelligent design."

The Scientific Method, which they do Use, is Explained Very Well in this Article.

Some Other Interesting Things to Note are that Intelligent Design Scientists Treat any Belief that they may have that can not be Scientifically Tested as Unscientific and Irrelevant and they do not Attempt to Test Questions that are Purely Religious in Nature.

They Only Claim "Intelligent Causation", or that "Life had an Intelligent Source."

You will see in this Article the Distinction made between Intelligent Design and "Creationism", a Distinction that is Continually Ignored because of the Opposition's Desire to Discredit Intelligent Design.

I Like this Statement;  "Modern-Day Galileos, Mr. Trent also writes that 'Not so long ago, it was immoral to claim the Earth went around the sun.', but he doesn't recognize that there are modern-day Galileos who are being persecuted because they question the Darwinian paradigm." and also, "It seems the persecution of scientists hasn't ended, but now it is the Darwinists who are behaving like the intolerant dogmatists of old."

You'll have to Read the Article for more Details.

Natural Selection/Evolutionary Ceiling of Sugar Beets

I didn't Really Want to Spend too much Time Working on this Post and I Hope you guys will not be too Tired of the Subject of Evolution and Intelligent Design, but I did Want to Tell you about the Sugar Beets.  To Save Time, I just Copied a Comment I Left beneath an Earlier Post.  When ever I Edited it Slightly, I put the Edited Part In Parenthesis.  I Mentioned BB-Idaho because the Comment was Written to him.

Natural Selection is nothing more than the changes that can occur within species, but the actual premise of Evolution is a bit more than that.  The cold hard truth is that there has never been a clearly documented case of Natural Selection occurring from one species to the next.

There are documented cases of birds adapting to their environments in the changes in the size of their beaks and even in the size of their brains when the survival situation is challenging enough, yet this is a within species example.

When it comes to breeding, we can come up with a whole variety of different dog breeds or cat breeds or the like, yet no matter how we try, we can not breed a dog to be a cat, or vise versa.  No matter how much breeding we do, a cat will always be a cat and a dog will always be a dog.

I think one of the most interesting examples of failures in trying to create new species was an example not about animals, but plants.  They did experiments cross pollinating sugar beets to try and get the maximum sugar possible in the beets.  They were able to alter the beets in order to get positive results, yet once they reached a certain number, they hit an "Evolutionary Ceiling".

They simply could not get the sugar percentage number above a certain number, no matter how they tried.  The change in the beets occurred only because of the intelligent interference of man.  When man left the beets alone, the natural, uninterrupted "Natural Selection Process" returned the beets back to the average or norm.  Nature did not bring improvement to the beets, but instead a return to the average.

It just so happens that the "Harder Science" of Biology is the one that has found amazing complexities in the body that are impossible to explain by the Natural Selection Process.  There are tiny mechanisms in the blood stream that are no less complicated than some of the machines that are created by the "Intelligent Design" of Man.  There is one such mechanisms that is just like a motor.  Things this complicated do not simply happen by chance.

Ok, so a Neanderthal is a separate species than man.  So?  Why should we be surprised if we discover an extinct species.  This does not in any way prove a connection between that species and either apes or man.  Phrases such as "We will learn more on that, as the evolutionary progress....is further explored", "IF they possessed..." and "is thought to work with..." show evidence of the uncertainty of
(the Evidence that is Presented by the Evolutionists).

(Even though it is True what BB-Idaho said in One of his Comments that) "Evolutionary Theory is not officially called Evolutionary Fact.", (Even so), it is often taught as fact in the schools, or at best the fact that it is Theory is not at all stressed.

I doubt if we are going to be able to get all teaching of Evolution out of grade school.  At the very least, they are going to introduce it and this is the complaint of those who support "Intelligent Design", for if it is even the slightest bit mentioned, than the other Theory should be as well.

This is not about whether or not
(BB-Idaho, or anyone else who decides to Comment is going) to "force Evolution on anyone", but about whether of not the schools are going to teach this biased opinion to our kids.

(All that "Intelligent Design Theory" does is) suggest that there is significant evidence in the complexities of our world to suggest that an Intelligent Designer, meaning our creator, was involved in the process.

I Just have one more Thought to Add at This Time besides what was in the Comment that I have Quoted and Slightly Edited Above and that is that the Similarities from one Species to another do not in any Way Prove "Natural Selection" from One Species to Another.  This can just as Easily be Explained by the Theory that All Things were Made by One Creator, just as Automobiles "Evolved" Over Time, as Man added More and more to his already Workable Design.

Why Start From Scratch each Time?  It Makes more Sense to Keep Using the Same Workable Motor, with Slight Alterations with Each New Creation.  Did Automobiles Come about, though, through "Natural Selection"?  Of Course not.  There was Intelligent Design involved and in this case, the Designer was Man.

Communication, Friendship, Risks, Endings, Etc.

I've been on a bit of a Roll in relation to the Evolution vs. Intelligent Design thing and I do have at least one more Post on the Subject that I'd Like to do, yet since the People I Interact with on the Blogs are a Diverse Group of lots of Interests, Perhaps I should Take Breaks and Post about Lighter Things that Require less Though, or at Least less Scientific Though.

I've been Thinking about Friendship and Communication and how Hard such can be at Times.  It's Scary to take the Necessary Risks in Order to get the Best Rewards out of our Friendships.  We get Pets and they Die, we form Friendships and get Rejected by them.  Nothing that is Worth While comes easy.

It's Funny how they say that the Best Things in Life are Free, yet the Truth is that this is Only True in the Context of Money.  In the Context of Work and Effort, nothing is Really Free.  Communication Requires Work, Marriage Requires Work and Friendship Requires Work and sometimes no Matter what we do, we can Still Experience the Rejection that we Fear.

Here is how I View it.  As Long as I can say that You have Learned Something from me and I have Learned Something from you, then the Friendship has been Worth it, regardless of whether or not it is Permanent.  For me Personally, it is the Relationships that End in Anger and in which we can not Come to a Place of Acknowledging that the Friendship was Worth While in some Way; These are the Endings that Hurt, but it doesn't have to be that way.

Some Broken Friendship can also be Reconciled and when this Happens it is Truly a Blessing.

I hope that this Post will Help anyone who Reads it that Feels Lonely in some way.

Evolution/Intelligent Design/Faulty Arguments

When my Friend, Satyavati, said that Sometimes People have a "propensity to take words and have them mean whatever's most convenient.", she was Speaking the Truth.  I guess that she was Talking about Conservatives and yet the same thing is also True in Relation to so many other Things.

While Debating the Subject of Evolution and Intelligent Design, we can not Be Required to Use only the Definitions of Terms that are "Convenient" to One Side and Reject those that are “Convenient" to the Other.  Both People have to Be Tolerant of Definitions Used by the other.

The Word "Evolution", for Example, could be used to Mean "Natural Selection" within Species.  This Subject, however, does not Interest me because it does not Prove "Darwin Evolution", which Includes Speciation.  I'm more Interested in Talking about Speciation, then Evolution within Species.  My Hope is that People will Hear what I am saying and not Get Bogged Down in the Definitions of Words.

You can not Use One Set of Definitions and Rules for the Science that is already Accepted as Science and another Set of Definitions and Rules for a Newer Science that Seeks Recognition.  For Example, the Definition of "Scientific" has to be the Same when Applied to Both the Accepted "Status Quo" Science and the Newer Science that Seeks Acceptance.

On the One Hand, a Person could say, "Science doesn't invoke unprovable causes, period." and Apply that Standard and Definition to the Science of the Opponent, yet on the other Hand, Point Out that Astronomy can not be called a Non-Science because no one can physically visit a black hole to prove it's really there and Geology can not be called Nonscientific because it's impossible to visit the core of the earth and take samples to prove the exact mineralogy of it?  And Apply that Principle to the Science that is Already Accepted as "Status Quo".

To do so would be Contradicting that Original Statement that was Applied to the Opponent, "Science doesn't invoke unprovable causes, period."

We can not Use Two Definitions, and in doing so, Applying Different Standards to "Status Quo" Science, than we do to Intelligent Design.  This is Inconsistent and Biased and therefore, Hurts the Credibility of our Argument when we do this.  It simply must be Recognized that if the Statement "Science doesn't invoke unprovable causes, period." is True, then Astronomy and Geology are also not Science because of the Reasons Given Above.

In my Opinion, it is the Evolutionists that are Ignoring the Facts, or shell I say the Absence of Facts, in Relation to Speciation.

This is so Typical, for Everything that is said in Order to Try and Discredit Intelligent Design is also True of Speciation; You Can't Prove it, It's Biased, Terms are Defined in Ways that are Convenient to the Accepted Position, Etc. Etc. Etc.

This Post was Inspired by Satyavati and the Comments that were Written below one of her Posts...

Time for me to Read the Origin of Species Again.

Brain Storming Leading to Evolution/Intelligent Design Discussion

I'm Actually Wondering if I'm not Going to Feel all that Inspired Until After the Elections.  I've got a Rather Busy Weekend Coming Up with a Lot on my Plate.  There are Things I could Post on, such as, well right now, I'm Thinking about some of what BB-Idaho and I have been Talking about in Relation to Science and Religion.  That Post Relating to Determinism and Free Choice sort of remains in the Back of my Head too.  Anybody have any Preferences?  Any body have any Comments in Advance Relating to either of these Topics?

Well, it Looks Like Evolution vs. Intelligent Design is the Topic that was Chosen and that Follows Below.

Listening with the Heart (Poem)

Well, a Commenter in the Previous Post Started Writing Poetry and this is what was Inspired within me because of it.  It came Out sort of Negative, yet the Main Point is how we Need to Listen to Each Other with the Heart.

Listening with the Heart

I cast my Words onto the Sand,
So they are Heard though out the Land,
Yet Stubborn Hearts will sure Demand,
That their Loud Voice is all that Stands.

I cast my Words into the Sea,
In Desperation now I Plea,
As we now Talk while Drinking Tea,
Yet no one knows the Answer.

How can we Walk now Side by Side?
Our Hurts we Learn, somehow to Hide,
Neath Tough Skinned Shields, we Shy Away,
Cause No One's Safe, Least not Today.

Long I Look for Tender Ears,
A Gentle One won't Judge my Tears.
Again I Risk to do my Part,
In Hope he'll Listen with the Heart.

For Self or for Influence (Just Has to Come Out!)

In the Comment Section of the Previous Post, I did some Brain Storming in Relation to what I should Post Next and the One Subject and Question that Continues to Stick Out in my Mind is the Question of Whether we should Blog for Ourselves, or for the Sake of Influence and having an Effect on Our World.  Actually, I Think that it's a Little of Both.

When I was Struggling a lot with Issues of Depression, I had a Lot that "Just had to Come Out", yet I'm not always Depressed and I'm not always Inspired.  Sometimes if I Wait for that which is Pressing and "Just has to Come Out", I will Wait a Really Long Time between Posts and that is why sometimes I just do Brain Storming in Order to Find my Inspiration.

Personally, though, I do not Think that Posting for Influence is a Negative.  Whether we Post sort of for Ourselves, because it "Just has to Come Out", or because we also have a Desire to, at least in some Small Way, Influence our World, none of this Matters.  Either Way, it is Fun to Write and Fun to Read and if we are Opened and Willing, we will all Learn from each other.

This is Shorter than I Thought, yet Perhaps there will be more in the Comment Section.

Take a Break and Just Chat

So many of the Blogs I Follow have Slowed way Down.  It's almost to the Point of being Strange.  Is any body out there?  Talk to me.  Tell a Joke.  Share the Reason's why you feel Discouraged.  Blow off Steam.

Even I've been in a Bit of a Funk Lately.  I guess it's because sometimes the People who I used to get Along with, for some Reason Change for the Negative and though I Try Very Heard, there is no Longer any thing there to Like.  Maybe I shouldn't be saying it that way, yet I don't know how else to say it.

It's sad when Relationships Change.  A Person can't help but Remember Good Times and Wonder why it is Impossible to Get Back to what once was.

Yes, that's it.  That's the Reason for the Funk.  Hopefully, I can get Passed it, though, soon and Move On.

Abortion & Pregnancy Options Analogy

I Apologize for being on a Little Bit of an Abortion Kick Lately, but if anyone is Getting Tired of the Subject, Please Feel Free to Scan through my Earlier Posts and Use my Labels to Take you to Stuff that interests you.  Though Actually, the Next Post Down is also not about Abortion.

Meanwhile, though, one thing that I Wrote in a Comment Recently that's Interesting is an Analogy Relating to Abortion.

You see, there was a Pro-Choice Person who was Comparing the Options of Parenting, Adoption and Abortion to the Choice that one Makes between several Flavors of Ice Cream and the Fact that no Flavor should be Excluded from the Person who has the "Right to Choose".  Well, there was another Person Present that Felt that Comparing the Killing of a Baby to a Flavor of Ice Cream was a Little Insensitive.  Though I do Understand that no Analogy is Perfect, I came up with a Second Analogy that I Felt Described the Situation a little Better...

There is a Horrible Monster after the Girl and she has three Paths to Choose from as she Runs from it. One of the Paths Appears Easy, for it is Level and even Down Hill in some Places. The other two Paths are Rugged and go Up Hill.

The Problem is that the Easy Path (Abortion) Involves the Killing of a Child who is Tied to a Tree where the Monster will be able to get to her unless the Girl is willing to Climb up one of the Two Rugged Paths in Order to Save the Child.

Unfortunately, the Only Way to Save the Child is through a Climb up one of the Two Rugged Trails up the Mountain and Unfortunately, even the Shorter of the Two Trails (Adoption) involves a Climb that will Last about 5 Months, not 9, because it Takes about 4 Months in Order to Really Start to Show one's Pregnancy.  The Girl is in no way Required to Take the Longest of the Trails and Raise the Child.

Now, in Order to Save the Child, the Owner of the Easy Trail, that is the One who Pays for it's Up Keep (the Tax Payer), has been Considering Placing a Gate in Front of the Trail, so that it would no Longer be an Option.

Is this Fair? I don't Know, but it's Worth Thinking about.

If the Girl Takes the Easy Trail, the Monster will most Certainly Kill the Child.  What I'm Puzzled about is why the Girl has no Desire to Save the Child that is Roped to the Tree and will Surely Die if the Girl does not Make the Climb up the Mountain in Order to Save her.  Perhaps she is Selfish, yet then again, Perhaps it is also because she is Ignorant because no one has ever accurately explained to her the True Nature of the Situation.

Basically what this Analogy is About is Tax Funded Abortion and also Informed Consent.  The First Theme should be sort of Obvious.  The Second Theme, Informed Consent, well, in most States, the Doctor is not Required to Tell the Patient who wants the Abortion about Fetal Development or Post Abortion Syndrome.

Our Dog Shasta Made a Friend

You Know, it was the Strangest Thing.  I went out into our yard once to see what our dog was barking at and it was a Deer.  The Presence of a Deer, though, is not what was Strange.  What was Strange was the fact that she walked right up to the fence and was not the slightest bit afraid of our dog.

Somehow, our dog, Shasta, had made friends with it.  In Trying to Make sense of this, I realized that Shasta doesn't always Bark at the Deer, at least not unless they Walk right up to the Fence, like this one did.  Sometimes he just watches them.  Perhaps his quiet manner is what caused this particular Deer to Trust him enough to Walk up to the Fence.  Animals seem to have a whole Language that us Humans do not fully Understand.

Another Thing that I Considered is that Shasta is a Samoyed and quite apart from Pulling Sleds in Siberia, this Breed was also used to Herd Reindeer.  Interesting.

Anyway, I have never seen anything like this before and wanted to share it with you.  This is a Wild Deer, you guys, not a tame one, and when I decided to Approach her, she took off.  She Trusts my Dog, but not me.  Pretty Amazing, huh?

Abortion/Pro-Choice/Do What I Want with "MY OWN BODY"

After Collecting the Following Information for a Comment on someone else's Blog, I Decided that it was worth Repeating and would make another Good Post, so here it is; what Science has to say about the Fetus being the Woman's "OWN BODY".

"DAY 1 (Fertilization) - The sperm joins with ovum (egg) to form on cell-smaller than a grain of salt. This new life has inherited 23 chromosomes from each parent; 46 in all.  This one cell contains the complex genetic blueprint for Every Detail for human development; the child's sex, hair and eye color, height, skin tone, etc.

"From the very beginning, even the very first cell is NOT the same as the 'mother's Own Body', but instead has his or her own unique genetic identity, so the statement that the mother should have the right to decide what to do with 'Her Own Body' is not based on the facts.

"Biological dependence on does not equal actually being a part of, or the same as, that which it is depended on.  Babies continue to be quite helpless and dependent on their mother's care even after they are born.  Also, just because one living entity is physically affected by another, does not make the two entities only one entity.  Babies that are breast fed continue to be effected by the contaminates and also antibodies from the mother's body through the mother's milk.  Does that mean that the baby is still a 'part of the mother's body' even after it is born?

"as to 'shared biochemistry',......The Umbilical Cord allows antibodies, enzymes and nutrients to pass, but not the blood of the mother and baby.  The blood needs to be kept separate because quite often the baby has an entirely different blood type than the mother."

Another Interesting Thing to Note is that there was a time in our History, in which it was Argued that the Negro Slaves were not "Persons", but Property, just as we are Currently Viewing the Unborn as Property, rather than "Persons"Whenever we call them "MY OWN BODY", rather than Realizing that the Baby is a Separate Individual and "Person", we are Referring to them as Property, not Person's.

Abortion and Rape (This Might Surprise You.)

On another Blog, I've been Discussing Abortion and more Specifically the Exception of Rape.  Most Pro-Life People do Consider Rape to be an Acceptable Exception in which Abortion should be allowed and yet when I was First Reading the Manual at the Pregnancy Center, where I've been Working, I read some things about the Subject that really Surprised me and that I'm sure many of you may be Surprised by too.

One Interesting Fact is that the Pregnancy Rate for Rape Victims of Child Bearing Age is only 5%, so Most Rape Victims do not become Pregnant.   Also, 80% of Rape Victims Know their Attacker.

Here's what's Interesting, though.  Because Rape is Considered an Acceptable Exception to the Forbidding of Abortion, Many Well Meaning People, Including some Pro-Lifers, will actually Pressure the Victim to Abort the Fetus.  People are so Repulsed by the Sexual Offense, that they Wrongfully Assume that Evil will be Passed Directly to the Child in some way.  It is far too easy to Forget that this is also the Child of the Violated Woman, who may not Share the Same Opinions as those who are Pressuring her to Abort the Baby.

A Woman does not choose Rape, but Abortion is an Act in which she must Willingly Participate.  Women Rarely Report Regretting Giving Life to their children, whatever the Circumstances of the Conception, though Regret of Abortion is more Common than People Realize.  As Odd as it may seem, Forgiving Oneself is Often even more difficult than Forgiving the Rapist.

Abortion is not an Eraser.  Just because the Pregnancy is Terminated, this does not Cause the Pain of the Rape to go away, but here is the Clincher...

The Abortion Procedure is Quite Invasive and the Hard and Cold Instruments Invade the Same Part of the Body that was Invaded by the Rape.  Since the Rape Victim has Already been Invaded, there are Situations in which the Abortion Procedure can be just like Reliving the Horrible Event all over again and it can be Quite Traumatic.   She has been through one Traumatic Even, Why Add Another One?

And then there is the Matter of Incest.  In these Situations, Abortion becomes the Perfect Cover Up for a Crime that Needs to be Reported and Brought to a Stop.  Too Often such Victims are given their Abortions and then Placed Right Back into the Abusive Situation that Caused the Problem in the First Place.  It is Actually much more Preferable if the Victim is Removed from the Home for Nine Months.  The Nine Month Pregnancy can Actually Work as a Healing Period in which the Girl is Placed in a more Supportive Environment while the Rapist is Brought to Justice and a Suitable Home can be found for the Child.

It is not Uncommon for a Raped Victim to Choose not to Abort, if for No Other Reason, than for the Sake of Proving that she is not Like the Rapist.  Rape Steals People of their Dignity and Carrying a Baby to Term is a Way to Get that Dignity Back, by doing a Very Good and Noble Thing.  Doing a Good an Noble Thing is an Extreme Positive in the Healing Process, unlike Abortion that can Lead to Additional Guilt and Shame, Taring Away all that much More at the Dignity that was Taken by the Rapist.

This is Why there are some who rather than saying Abortion is Wrong "Except in the case of Rape", they will say Abortion is Wrong  "Especially when there is Rape".  I Look Forward to your Comments.

Priorties - The Tug of War of Anger & Peace.

Well, I'm Considering coming back to the Blogging World, yet to Tell you the Truth, Life Does Keep Getting in the Way.  The Same Question as always is still within me.  It is a Question of Priority.  Blogging can be Like an Obsession, when I Let it Get the Better of me.  Blogging Pulls at me, and yet Life Pulls at me too and if I'm Smart, I will Allow Real Life to Win the Tug on my Heart, yet somehow it seems that there Ought to be a Way to do Both.

I Guess Politics is the Same Way.  The Political Situation has Gotten so Intense that it Seems that Getting Our Opinions Out there is the Only Thing that Matters Right Now and yet Life Goes on and we Still Need to Live Our Lives and we can not allow Ourselves to be Eaten Up with Political Anger and Rage.  We Need to Be Careful that we do not Tare Away at Our Own Freedom to be Happy, by Entering into Anger, Discontent and Worry about what Freedoms we Might Lose.

When I Quit Blogging, one of the Things that was Troubling me was that the Democrats had Gotten so much Power and have been Behaving in such an Extreme Manner, that I didn't even Desire to Write as a Moderate Any More, yet what is the Other Option?  Should I join the Rest of the Crowd in their Obama Bashing?  That wouldn't be Hard for me to do, yet I'm not sure if it is Going to Serve much of a Constructive Purpose and Any Way, there are Plenty of People Out there Doing that Already, so what's the Point?

No, What Ever I do decide to do in the Blogging Word, it has to be Different and Uniquely me, so Here I am Returning to what I've always been About.  No Matter how Bad Things Get, Our Mission should Still be to Try and Understand our Opponent and see if we can Find a Way to Work Together, rather than Imposing Extremes Upon Each Other.  Just because the Democrats are Acting in Extreme Ways Right Now, does that Mean that we Need to Impose the Extreme of Zero Regulations on Businesses and Zero Social Programs.  We Still Need to be Reasonable, for if we are not, then the Democrats are Just Going to Turn a Deaf Ear to us and We are not Going to have much Effect on them.

When I'm Angry, I do not Feel Like much of a Moderate, yet in Reality, that is always what I'm going to be.

The Priority War that I Mentioned in the Title has to do with the Obsession with Blogging and the Need to Live Life.  It Relates, though, to so Many other Things.  There is a Tug of War between Obsession and the More Mundane Things in Life; Between Politics and Living Life, Between Wanting to Make Some Kind of a Difference and just Doing what Needs to be Done, Between Anger and Peace and Between Passion and Practicality.  This is such a Hard Balance at Times.  Such a Very Hard Puzzle that does not Appear to have an Answer.

Anger, though, does not Lead to Peace.  It is Understanding that Leads to Peace and Unfortunately, Compromise Leads to Peace.  I Know that a Lot of you do not Like the Word Compromise, yet Unfortunately, this is a Reality of Life and it is not Going to Go Away.  Perhaps Along with the Tug of War Between Passion and Practicality, we should Add the Balance between Idealism and Reality, for no Matter how Bad we want it, No One is going to Get Everything that they Want.  Unfortunately, Life is just not that way.

So maybe I can Still Blog about the Attitude of Moderation, rather than Extremes.  Why should that Change just because I Feel that the Current Administration is Way Out of Hand?
