Take a Break and Just Chat

So many of the Blogs I Follow have Slowed way Down.  It's almost to the Point of being Strange.  Is any body out there?  Talk to me.  Tell a Joke.  Share the Reason's why you feel Discouraged.  Blow off Steam.

Even I've been in a Bit of a Funk Lately.  I guess it's because sometimes the People who I used to get Along with, for some Reason Change for the Negative and though I Try Very Heard, there is no Longer any thing there to Like.  Maybe I shouldn't be saying it that way, yet I don't know how else to say it.

It's sad when Relationships Change.  A Person can't help but Remember Good Times and Wonder why it is Impossible to Get Back to what once was.

Yes, that's it.  That's the Reason for the Funk.  Hopefully, I can get Passed it, though, soon and Move On.

I don't get it either. You know I was reminiscing the other night about friends in general and while I've had my share over the years the number of true blue friends you have is really small. Then you have the ones who you knew in the past but they don't keep in touch. It's not personal and all this stuff really saddens me too. Blogging has not been particularly joyworthy for me lately, it's rather stressful and you always think who did I offend today? You get unjustly accused of things and all the rest. Good blog and very apropos!!

Thanks so much for your Comment, Z. I so Appreciate it. I've been Feeling Discouraged too because even when I Finally Figured Out my Forgotten Pass Word and got into my Hit Counter, I thought that the Numbers weren't too bad until I Realized that the Hit Counter was also Counting me, whenever I was Looking at my Own Blog.

As you Know, I was Away from the Blog for about a Year and I Guess it Takes time to Build Up a Following again.

And then I've Found myself on this Abortion Kick that I've been Wondering if I should get off of and yet for some Crazy Reason it is just what's been on my Mind Lately.

I do Wonder if People are Getting Tired of the Subject, yet if I decide to "Blog for Myself" as I've Heard People Suggest, then that is Probably what I would Continue to Write about.

I have 4 Followers and 2 of them are New. That is, they Joined even though I've been Talking about Abortion. I Wonder if they are Actually Interested in the Subject. Unless someone Actually says something, I will never Know what those who don't Comment are Thinking.

In Relation to this Post, I'm Still Waiting for BB-Idaho to Deliver a Joke, for he is so Good at that and a Little Comic Relief would be Really Good about Now.

I have only 9 followers, I feel like Christ. The reason why I think we blog about abortion so much is at least for me there are so many logical flaws in the pro-abortion position that it's an exercise in Logic. I don't think they're consistent so for me it's an intellectual thing.

I've not slowed down, I'll still full of hell and vigor.

Hi Z,
Do you Know that a Fifth Follower just Joined since I wrote my Last Comment and I Checked and it wasn't even you.

I've got 5 Followers, so maybe I'll even Catch up to you. We'll see.

The Very Fact that the Abortion Subject is so Emotional is the Very Reason why it Needs to be Addressed, for Eventually People Need to Work Through those Emotions and Find their Way to a more Peaceful Form of Reason.

I have a Tendency at Times to Push People's Buttons. I Think I even Do it to Soap at Times. For after all, the Word Extreme Shouldn't be Emotional Either. It's just a Word, so what's the Big Deal? We Need to Think Calmly and Rationally and not Give in to those Emotions.

Oh Hi Conservative16,
Here's one of my Followers who has Decided to Speak. Welcome. I'll have to Visit your Blog sometime. Got to run now, though. Thanks for Dropping by.

I just joined you as a follower but I had to figure out exactly what to do so it took a couple minutes. Genesis used to have a song, Follow You/Follow Me.

"I'm Still Waiting for BB-Idaho to Deliver a Joke,"
Too challenging, to be on topic, it would need to be a Funk Joke. ..I don't know any! So, here's a true story: I picked up my father at the Spokane airport on his first visit to Idaho. There is much logging in the north part of the state and the highway was crowded with speeding woodchip trucks.
As I was passing and getting passed, I growled, "Those dang chip trucks are a nuisance!"
He noted, "Gee, no wonder
Idaho is called the POTATO state."

Cute BB,
You don't have to be on Topic. In my First Paragraph I said, "Talk to me. Tell a Joke. Share the Reason's why you feel Discouraged. Blow off Steam." That's pretty much a Free for all. I just wanted a Break from Politics, that's all.

Z,
Aside from the Follow Button just above the Followers on the Right, there is also another Button above, on the Left, just Next to the Search Window. After this, you can Find Out when ever I Post by Looking at your Dash Board. If you are Following more than One Blog, you will be able to see who has Posted Recently. This is a Really Handy Tool for Slower Blogs, so that you do not have to Check them all Daily unless you want to and you will Know about a New Post just by Looking at your Own Dash Board.

Well, I Visited Conservative16's Blog and from what I can tell, the Reason why he has not Slowed Down is because he is just getting Started. It Looks like his Very First Post was the First of this Month and he Averages a Couple of Posts Per. Day, so it is a Fast Moving Blog in that he Posts Often, yet Z has Faster Moving Comment Threads.

Nice Blog, though, Conservative, Keep Up the Good Work.

I have a link to Larry Mendte's blog (he's a newsman/commentator here in New York) and while I like his blog it moves even faster than mine. It's like cell division and he'll have like 5 blogs on the same topic. It's a little dizzying. Anyway just a couple days ago I was up to 40,41 hits a day and now down to 27. Seems a little inconsistent.

You see, Fast Blogs, like the one you are Describing, are too much for me. I Actually Avoid them, cause there is just too much to Read and Respond to. Some People Thrive on that, but I'm not one of them.

Back to Conservative16's Blog. I hope he doesn't Mind if I Talk about it. Once I Read a Little and then Walked away, I realized that most of his Posts are Short and Easy to Read, so I might decide to Follow it after all. He Actually has 11 Followers already and he has only been Blogging for 2 Weeks. That's Impressive.

I don't have to become a Follower, though, by Clicking on the Link. I Use the Dash Board for the Sake of Following Slower Blogs. The Faster ones, I just Visit Periodically, when I'm in the Mood. They Clutter up the Dash Board too much if I Actually Follow them there.

I Wonder how many Hits you get from me. I Keep Going in and Out of your Blog because I'm Working from my Email Program and Clicking on the Links in the Comments that have been sent there. I Wonder if what should be Considered One Visit Gets Counted Many Times as I go in and Out of your Blog and back to my Email Program each time in between. I Actually Wonder if One Person can Change the Numbers Quite a Bit by doing stuff like that.

When I used to be involved in the Hannity Forums one thing that annoyed me among several is the threads move so fast. You post a new thread on a new topic and after 2 or 3 hours it's on page 2 or 3 and here's the kicker. Let's say you're a little slow and see an older thread you'd like to respond to that'll move it back to page one again and then people get upset and they complain to the mod and it's a violation. It's like some overregulated workplace where nobody has any fun.

Lista said...

Yeh, I Agree and that's why I Avoid Fast Moving Blogs.

hey Lista..so nice to meet ya!.thanks for dropping by WHT..don't be a stranger and hang in there girl..sometimes new friends show up when ya least expect them!:)

Oh Wow! Hi Angel.
That is the Nick Name that you go by, isn't it? I Dropped by your Blog sort of on a Whim and was so very much Blessed by the Post I Responded to. Thanks so much for Dropping by here to Reciprocate.

I sometimes have such Trouble Deciding on the Direction of my Blog and always have Several Possible Posts that I could do, but I can Never Decide which one to do, so I just sit here and don't Post.

Should I continue Talking about Abortion, or should I do One on Determinism vs. Free Choice. My Most Recent thoughts that are Just Starting to Germinate are in Relation to Blogging for Oneself, rather than for Influence and Persuasion and Huh! The Other One, I am Drawing a Blank on right now for some Reason, but I'm sure it will come to me Later. Oh well.

Brain Storming...
The Virtue of Selfishness (That One's sort of an Odd One). Oh, Here it is...Blogging for Oneself and Writing about that which "Just has to Come Out"

There is another Post Germinating in there somewhere.

Anyway, Thanks for Dropping by. I really did Love the Post that I Read on your Blog and Hope to be by soon to Read more. Thanks.

Actually, to be Honest, I haven't done much with my Blog Roll Lately. Instead I've been Working from the "Blogs I Follow", which are Listed in my Profile Page. Eventually, though, I do also want to Update my Blog Roll. Some of the Links are Old and the Blogs don't even Exist any more and I want to Delete those and Add New Ones. I just haven't gotten around to it yet. I'm Going to Add you to the "Blogs I Follow", though. I was just Reading something today that Explains to me better how this is done.

WomanHonorThyself said...

Hi Angel,
I Hope you don't Mind if I Call you that. I Decided to Add you to my Blog Roll at your Request. I'll do the Rest of the Organizing that I Mentioned Later.

‘Take a break and just Chat’
OK- I was thinking about politics This morning. How there are two
sides to every issue, how the two sides fear and despise the other. How modern technology has exacerbated the
desperation and precluded any real compromise.
And how did we get to this state of affairs? What is politics, really?
is it not just a social mechanism, a framework for human groups to get along? Is it not law-making, law-giving?
Social mechanisms are ancient. Hammarabi received his laws from the
God Shamash. Later, Moses received his commandments from the God of the
Hebrews. This naturally gave the laws great importance.
But why laws? Was there a time When there was no ‘social mechanism’?
Doubtful, IMO. Clearly, a caveman clan would cease to exist if only the
strongest had access to food (yes, I know-Libertarians would love that) because the women and children would
starve. They were important to the
caveman clan, the women as gatherers an preparers of wild fruit and vegetables,
and bearer of children; the children (can we call them ‘cave kids’?) of course represented the future of the clan.
And so, a leader, usually the eldest
and wisest, was needed to ‘judge’ how to divide the available foodstuffs…
if and when to move on, if and when to fight other clans. Social rganization,
a mechanism for society, a mechanism to bring order from chaos.
The very earliest civilizations were
based on primitive agriculture. Now,
humans were lucky to have a surplus. Stored food against hard times. Who
swned the surplus? How was it to be divided when necessary?

Actually BB,
I'm a Little Tired of Politics. I just Hit Publish cause I Trust you, yet there is a Possibility that I may move this to a New Post. Let me Think on it awhile.

BB-Idaho said...

Continuing on..
So, when we live in any number among ourselves, some arrangement for order
seems required. As civilizations grew and urban areas began to form, this became clear. The earliest response was to
call on religion. Summer/Akkad had its
'priest-kings', the same with the Egyptian dynasties. We are familiar with the Hebrews
asking for a king. Essentially, the body of people desired some sort of organisation as an alternative to total anarchy. And so it continued, the city states of Greece, the Roman Empire, even in the Dark Ages, warrier-chiefs set and kept a modicum of law.
Later, in the middle ages,
such societal organization
fell to the Popes, Bishops,
Earls, Dukes and Kings. Only relatively recently
did the concept of 'voting', of individuals
having a choice in how to
arrange their society, its
mores, laws and arrangements and structure
occur. So, bickering, vitriol, party, viewpoint-what we think as 'politics'
is really a complex version of societal arrangement. Messy, frustrating...but far better than priest-kings,
warrier-chiefs and family clans. (IMO) RE: The subject line...take a break and just chat.
Thank you for the opportunity!

Well, I Thought about Starting a New Post Including your Thoughts, BB, but you Know what? I'm not sure if I Like your Focus on Religion, as Created by Man, cause I Realized, once I Got Reading this, that that is the Way it Slants.

I'm Still Trying to Decide if you are Ok, or Out of Line. If you Ask me, I'm Thinking you Might just be Up to No Good.

Tsk Tsk, Followed by a Playful Shove. lol. Oh well, whatever. I'll Need time to Digest this.

BB-Idaho said...

Now, now "I'm not sure if I Like your Focus on Religion, as Created by Man," that was not my focus. Just my understanding of historical development.
If you prefer to think that Astarte, Ishtar, Hathor, Marduk, Thor,
Zeus, Baal and EL were various divine revelations, that's fine.

It's just that when I Wrote a Post Entitled "Take a Break and Just Chat", I wasn't Really Expecting that someone was going to Open Up an Unexpected Can of Worms. It sort of makes me Feel like Referring People again to the Post I did that Resulted in a Discussion on Evolution v. Intelligent Design.

http://wwwramblingsoflista.blogspot.com/2008/05/off-subject-comments.html

For now, I guess I'll just say that if there is something Internal Inside of People that causes them to "Create a Religion and a God", then why is that Internal Longing there in the First Place? To Simply View it as something that is Created by a Leader in Order to Keep People in Line; Well, I just don't Buy that.

Lives are Often Traumatically Changed due to a Relationship with God and the Power of that Goes Way Beyond what ever could be Accomplished simply by Imposing Laws on People.

Why do elephants paint their toenails different colors?

So they can hide in a bag of M&Ms, have you ever found one there?

See, it must work :)
